Thank you, Bonnie. If I had just learned this recently, then many others may be also just learning. That’s why we are here :) . And now, thanks to you, I will be able to do the “tightening” properly. It may mean my/our problems can be solved simply. If not, at least we will know if in fact the port will need replaced. Thank you.
I tried something completely different. I have very amateur abilities with basic repair in computers, tablets. In searching for answers to charging issues, I did find the port on my Tab A was soldered. I looked over the port, and then the cables themselves. What I noticed on USB charging cables is sometimes they may be bent a little or a lot from constantly being plugged in and unplugged. After making sure dust and debris was removed from both port and micro end of the USB cable, I tried slightly squeezing the micro end “back into shape”, and it tightened up and charging was noticeably better, but not perfect. I am wondering if we can slightly squeeze the port back into shape as I did with the micro end. It would then be tightened up as well which may be what is needed. One of you may have a moment to try it and let me know. If it works, I can reopen my Tab A when I have time and try it myself. And, at that time, I can fix the rear camera issue that happened when I put the Tab back together. I obviously...
I just replaced the battery using the steps this site provided here. Excellent! My tablet works great now! No more rebooting! The micro USB charging port looks to be soldered in, meaning i will have to take the time later and use the soldering gun to remove it? The back still warms up, but after a lot of reading, it appears it is the CPU and i am using an app from google play called "Phone Cooler Master" its a fan with a red dot in the middle of it. It works well to lower the CPU usage and cools my tablet. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 Repair

I have had constant issues with my Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350 as far as a reboot loop. The back of my tablet was getting warm near the power button. I contacted Samsung and they suggested a third-party app might be causing it. They said to reboot into safe mode (Make sure it is turned off and plugged in. Hold the power button and volume down until the samsung logo appears after the Galaxy Tab A screen, let go of the power button but continue to hold the volume down until it begins to load the home screen. You will see "safe mode" in the bottom left corn of the screen) If a third party app causes the reboot loop, it won't do it while in safe mode. Thats when you have to use the process of elimination by removing apps until it stops rebooting. I just did a reset with automatic restore disabled under backup and restore section, but after, mine began to do the reboot loop in safe mode. I began noticing my remaining battery power would show 100%, but after a reboot loop it would show 80% or so. I contacted...
Long time since you posted this, but clean out the micro USB charge port. Use a toothpick gently, and vacuum. A lot of lint and dirt gets in and stops a proper connection

Good to know, thank you!
