If you ordered the correct screen type, that is a wholesaler issue. Did you put both screens side by side and examine both connectors? Are there any bent leads on the new screen’s home button connector? Where did you order your part from?
With the help of Google, a bright man named @jbrennan51 gave some tips in another ifixit forum. @jbrennan51 says: Here are a few more ideas for you to try. Restore iPhone in DFU Mode - Try to restore your iPhone in DFU mode in order to fix iTunes error 4005. Here are the steps to enter in DFU mode: Connect your device to the Computer. Turn off your device. Hold Power for 3 seconds keep holding Home and hold Power for 10 seconds. Now release Power, but keep holding Home. iTunes will detect your iPhone in Recovery mode. Now you can start the restore process. Replace your Battery - In some cases, replacing the battery can fix the iTunes error 4005. The main problem is because the battery have a low power. We recommend you to replace with a original battery. Replace the Dock connector - If you used some non-original chargers, your dock connector can be damaged and have a bad communication with the usb cable. By replacing the connector, the communication will be perfect and you will fix the error 4005. Make...
I believe what you have is a clone. Pretty much means that it’s a Chinese copy of the real Apple iPhone. People unfortunately take designs that they don’t own and make a copy of it. In this case it’s a clone of “Apple iPhone”. Not the real thing, just a copy from some other business in bad practice. Could even be a custom OS (Android maybe?) / jailbreak combo that someone figured out to put on it which is highly unlikely. You can also check this by plugging it into iTunes and seeing if iTunes can recognize the device. If it does, you can try a restore but that could be a little risky if you want the phone to not get bricked if the hardware is not compatible with the software. I’m pretty interested on what iTunes will tell you, so you should give that a try and let me know. You even have Command Line Tools on it which is what I use for web and mobile development at work. I’m not 100% sure that this is a clone, but I have never seen anything like this allowed by Apple. Cheers!
It’s a hardware issue. It’s called ghost touch which is when the screen on your device jumps around, fights against your touch and plain out annoying. To fix ghost touch you need to replace your screen, because something is damaged in the digitizer. Digitizer is what senses your touch to allow you to swipe and move things around. The fix tutorial can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6e5-H_UZO8 You need to watch from 0:10-3:00 to remove the screen successfully and then just reverse the steps you took to put it back together. Replacement part can be found here: Kindle Fire HDX 8.9" (3rd Gen APOLLO, 71-pin Edition) Screen
Clean your logic board and other components with 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean up corrosion. Then try and power on. If not, something is either shorted or a component is damaged. This is pretty difficult to find the cause of your issue, but there is a technique called rosin smoke. You get some solder rosin and dip your soldering iron in the rosin to then cover the components with the smoke given off by the rosin. Then try to power on, which then the faulty component gets really hot cleaning itself from the smoke. Now the proper area in the logic board is hard to find, so you may just want to smoke the entire board. If it’s not a short this technique most likely won’t work, but worth a try. Technique can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq1zmfwt... it is a different repair, but the technique is the same.
Author just ended the repair when there were more steps needed lol. I have done so many of these repairs and it shouldn’t be in the difficult section. If the PCB is ok, just swap it into a different drive deck you know that works. If your PCB is broken , you will need an X360 USB Pro and 3rd part software to extract the key and flash it and original firmware to the new PCB. I should update this tutorial for it is pretty weak.
