Answer to "Water Damaged MotoG Generation1 Turns On But Touch Screen Doesn't Work"I had this problem after my phone was submerged in water for 10 minutes, and despite my best efforts to dry it out, the touch screen was still unresponsive. I bought a USB - micro USB OTG (on the go), which you can buy for less than £5 on amazon, and then plugged mouse in to the phone. This allowed me to test whether anything else was broken. It took a while to get the hang of swiping (e.g. to unlock the phone) but you can swipe with the mouse. I was able to make and receive calls, take photos, and connect to WIFI, but my laptop wont recognise the phone for me to transfer the data with a cable. To get around this I just changed my settings in google photos so that all my photos now back up to the cloud. Now I can download them from https://photos.google.com/ Problem solved. Hope this works for you!
