Replacing the Home button on iPhone-4

問題

The home button worked sporadically after taking a swim in the pool. I checked on replacing the phone and found that it would cost over $600. So repairing it for less than $100 including the toolkit seemed like a no-brainer.

修理

Everything went smooth until I tried to plug the new Home button in to the ribbon cable connector. I couldn't get it to seat properly and the connector snapped off from the charging port. So I'm waiting on the new charging port to arrive so I can finish the install.

アドバイス

PATIENCE and a WELL LIT area to work in! A lighted magnifying glass on my workbench would have saved me the second repair. Overconfidence can cost you more money in the long run.
