Einhall cordless circular saw (from wickes)

問題

Pulled the switch. The light came on and nothing else. The saw was quite new but I had lost all proof of purchase. I can't afford another one and I hate stuff going to landfill.

修理

Checked ifixit and there wasn't any guide :( Checked the Einhall website which was no use. Checked AI (gemini) No help. Thought be brave and just take it to bits. Stripped it down and then checked micro switch (which acts as a safety switch and turns on the light) which was fine. Noticed that the the 2 terminals that come out of the main switch were loose (I think they may not have been tightened properly in the factory). All the wires going in and out of the main switch by the this point had fallen out. Reinserted them, manually pressed the safety (light) microswitch, pressed the main switch and it worked!! Then took about 30 minutes trying to get it to all go back together.

アドバイス

Take photos. Invest in a half decent multimeter. Don't believe a website when it says that there are no user serviceable parts of that it cannot be repaired!
