Great replacement for dying Samsung S7 battery

My Galaxy S7 was rebooting randomly -- generally when disconnecting from the charging cable. I thought it might be firmware related and performed a hard reset and reloaded firmware using Odin to no avail. My device had been having difficulty holding a charge for six months, so I decided to replace the battery to determine if a flakey battery was the cause of all my problems. Lo and behold, once I replaced the battery, my problems went away.

I watched the iFixIt video and it went very smoothly. I would have rated it moderate difficultly, but I take apart electronics and solder parts when required, so I didn't think the repair was all that difficult. I was actually surprised at how quickly I was able to replace the battery.

My issues, noted above, went away when the battery was replaced. I was extremely happy that my new battery now holds a charge for most of the day and my rebooting problems went away.

The iFixIt video was clear and showed me exactly what I needed to do to replace the battery. Go slow to avoid causing any issues, particularly with prying out the plastic pieces once the screws are removed -- the video does make it seem like they are not quite as firmly in place as they really are. But the video was great at showing me how to prepare for the repair. Also, I used an iOpener, which came with the iFixIt replacement battery rather than use the heat gun -- it worked better than I expected it to to soften the glue.
