Kindle Head Phone Jack replacement

問題

The headphone jack in my kindle quit working. The tool and part on iFixIt totaled about $11 so I decided to give it a shot.

It was difficult to get the Kindle apart.

Once we figured out that it was best to pry the top (the side with the camera) open first, it got a little easier. The clips on the top side of the Kindle were smaller than the clips on the bottom side. Once the top clips were opened the larger clips on the bottom came apart easier. The opening tool was shorter that it should have been and dug into your hand when using it.
