Replaced HDD SATA cable in Mid 2012 MBP

問題

The mid 2012 MacBook Pro was failing to boot displaying a 'folder with a question mark' (and alternatively a 'no entry' symbol). We replaced the stock HDD with an SSD and the problem persisted, so the next thing we replaced was the SATA cable (there were visible wear marks)

修理

The repair went mostly smooth. There was a small amount of frustration lining up the screw holes in the new SATA cable with the screw holes in the chassis.

アドバイス

Helps to have tweezers and a bright light to get those screws back in
