iPod Gen 3 Repair Saga

問題

iPod battery was flat a dime, only enough to tell it's dead.

修理

It went okay although it revealed new problems, even after getting a power supply to keep in charge the thing would show a folder with a [!] telling of a hardrive failure and then it restarted itself. And it did this when the drive was disconnected. I ran it in diag mode had it try to check the drive without it and it said HDD failure and froze (did this with the drive, but tried to read then froze). so now I'm getting a new logic board to see if that resolves the new issue. Also the audio diag tried to play what I think was a drum but just kept repeating a sample of it for 4 times then stopped, the iPod did let me go back to the diag menu with this though.

At first I couldn't get it opened the way they showed on the diagram so looked up tutorial on YouTube and got it opened (had to start on the side then on the ends).
