[* red] Taking out the motherboard requires removing three Phillips screws and disconnecting two cables: one at the bottom of the phone, close to the earphone jack and one at the left of the SIM socket. Watch out the earpiece speaker and the cylindrical metallic component (internal battery?) in the upper left corner. They are glued to the chassis with adhesive tape. Make sure they are free to move before pulling up the motherboard; consider using very gently a few cables hereheat gun and therea fine pair tweezers.

[* icon_note] The design of the motherboard is peculiar to us. It is designed such that its inner perimeter encloses the battery. We've seen oddly-shaped PCBs before, but rarely do they have giant holes in the middle of them.
