[* black] With the help of fancy, expensive equipment, Chipworks produced a die photograph of the A7. It looks a lot like its predecessor, the [guide|10528|A6|stepid=38336|new_window=true].
[* black] Early on, our good friends at Chipworks had this to say about the A7:
[* red] “We have confirmed through early analysis that the device is fabricated at Samsung’s Foundry. We suspect we will see Samsung's 28 nm Hi K metal Gate (HKMG[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-k_dielectric|HKMG]) being used. We have observed this same process inused."
[* black] You'd think they'd just stop at
the Samsung Exynos Application processor used in the Galaxy S4."die and call it good, amirite?
