Tekk Pro Edition Monster Jam Mini Hoop Door Hook Replacement

If your Tekk Pro Edition Monster Jam Mini Hoop door hook becomes loose or has broken off and you're unable to find an OEM part, use a C-bracket to create a new door hook.

The Tekk Pro Edition Monster Jam Mini Hoop allows you to play hoops inside by placing the hoop on a door. If you've been playing too vigorously or someone decides to demonstrate their dunking abilities resulting in a bent door hook, follow this guide.

This repair requires the use of a power drill so if you're not experienced, ask for help. Take all necessary safety precautions for using power tools, such as safety goggles, etc.

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the two screws attaching the door hook to the backboard.

Take the C-bracket and mark the spot where you want to drill.
Clamp the C-bracket down onto a piece of wood that you're not worried about drilling into.
Be sure the C-bracket is securely in place—otherwise it can spin out.

Put the power drill on the mark, apply pressure, and drill through to make the screw hole.
Always be cautious when using power tools. Be sure to have on eye protection.

Align the hole of the C-bracket and the mini hoop and stick in the screw.
If you are having trouble with this, stick in the screw first and then put the bracket on.
Remember to have the hook of the bracket on the backside of the mini hoop so it can hang on the door.

Screw on the nut onto the screw with your hands.
Make sure the nut is tightened securely. Use a wrench if you cannot do it with your hands.
Put the mini hoop on a door and test if it holds properly otherwise repeat this step.
