Sony Xperia U Motherboard Replacement

If your phone's motherboard needs to be replaced, this guide will assist you through the replacement steps.

    • Set the phone screen down on a clean flat, surface.

    • Insert the plastic opening tool into the groove located between the body of the phone, and the back plate protecting the battery.

    • Open the back of the device by prying around the sides of the back panel using the plastic opening tool.

    • Insert the plastic opening tool in between the battery and the phone body.

    • Pry up on the side of battery, and remove it.

    • Remove the five 5.47mm and one 5.18mm Torx head screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
