Removing the battery is something that can be done by hand and should only take a few seconds to complete. Be sure to exercise caution when removing the battery as to avoid damaging the camera or harming yourself.

Locate the slider labeled "BATT" and pull it back from the battery with your thumb.

At this point, you should be able to remove the battery by simply lifting it from the camera.
The camera provided for guide-creation did not include a battery. However, the battery position should be the same.

To replace a new battery, simply snap the battery into the slot from which you removed it from.
