This document is a summary of other documents I have already published regarding thermal fuse values for coffee machines. It is a work in progress, so as I gather more values, I will add them. Anyone who wishes can contribute values based on their knowledge or research. Together, we can create a useful database.

When replacing a thermal fuse, we must consider both the temperature it can withstand and the current it can handle.

NEVER INSTALL A THERMAL FUSE THAT WITHSTANDS LESS TEMPERATURE; always use one with the same or slightly higher rating.

NEVER INSTALL A THERMAL FUSE THAT WITHSTANDS LESS CURRENT, as it will overheat easily. Always use one with the same rating; if this parameter is higher, it's even better. The key factor of a thermal fuse is ITS MAXIMUM OPERATING TEMPERATURE.

The Nescafé Dolce Gusto Krups KP1600 coffee machine has 3 thermal fuses, 2 in the boiler and 1 in the water pump.

Nescafé Dolce Gusto Krups KP1600 coffee machine water pump fuse.

Located in the body of the water pump, inserted, easy to extract. When the pump is installed, it is barely visible.

113º - 10A

As an observation: This fuse rarely blows; the water pump winding is usually damaged first.

Nespresso coffee machines, Delonghi, and many similar models.

2 thermal fuses on the boiler, one on each side, secured by a metal plate and screw.

167º - 5 A

Saeco Via Veneto coffee machine: 1 thermal fuse located on the boiler at the top of the machine.

186º - 5A. In the market, we can find a compatible one rated for 192º.

It is a common fault for this model: the machine is dead due to a blown thermal fuse. There are some videos on YouTube about it.

NOTE: The replacement of thermal fuses is done with electrician-type terminal blocks, isolating the entire body (NOTE: in the photo, it is still pending isolation). The fuses are crimped at their connection to the wire. If they need to be soldered, there is a technique to prevent damage, by holding them with a wet cloth or an ice cube.

Princess Hot Air Fryer: Thermal Fuse Value AUPO BF172 172º / 10 A / 250V - G1 is located on the metal plate of the heating element, requiring almost complete disassembly. It has 2 fuses enclosed in textile tubes, and usually, one of them blows. This causes the fryer to stop heating and the fan to stop rotating, although the display still turns on.

Thermal fuse fault at 157º, replaced with one rated for 192º, slightly moving it away from the support using electrician terminal blocks.
