    • Download a free demo version of Mac file recovery software. Install it on your Mac and launch the user interface to begin.

    • In the software interface, find the 'Deleted File Recovery' feature from the menu and click it to proceed.

    • After doing that, you need to select the hard drive or the volumes from the left side display. Here you can either choose the main hard drive or the selected volume. In the past if you have deleted many files then you can select the main hard drive. Once you select a volume or the hard drive upon which the action has to be taken, hit the 'Continue'

    • Now the scanning of the selected volume/hard drive begins. The software scans the entire hard drive scanning for the deleted files.
