    • Cut the height of the wood to the correct measurement.

    • Sand the wood so that it is smooth and free of hard edges.

    • If you get the Stain and Polish on your skin, your skin might be stained for a few days. In this case, make sure you wash thoroughly; Stain and Polish is only toxic if it is ingested.

    • Drill four small holes that will go over the extruded parts of the knife.

    • You can accurately mark the positions of the holes by coloring the screw heads with sharpie then stamping them into the wood.
