The problem with this Nerf gun is that the barrel isn't rotating. Therefore I will be showing how to fix the connection between the wire and the motor.

Remove the battery case using the Phillips head screwdriver and take out the batteries. You want to do this just in case something in the electronics goes haywire.
-
-
-
After removing the batteries you want to use the screwdriver to unscrew the 10 screws holding the casing on. By doing this you will get access too the "guts" of the gun.

In this case the wire connected to the negative side of the battery has been disconnected, so we need to solder it back on.
-
But before we do that we need to strip the black wire. Use a razor knife or wire stripper to strip about a 1/4 - 1/2 of an inch off the end.
-
-
-
Before soldering the black wire onto the motor clean your soldering iron. Do this by tinning it a little bit as you see in pic 1 then wipe it off on the damp sponge.
-
After tinning your soldering iron you want to tin your wire to make sure the threads won't fall apart as shown in pic 2.

-
For this step you will need your soldering iron, damp sponge, and solder.
-
If you have a cold joint then you will need the solder sucker, but if the joint is good, meet the wire and the solder at the location of where you want to solder.
-
Now use your soldering iron to melt the solder onto the wire. Let it dry for 10 sec then tug on the wire gently to see if it worked.
-
When you tug on it and it breaks loose, use the solder sucker to remove the old solder from the joint and re-solder it. If you tug and nothing happens you are all good.

To reassemble your device, follow steps 1 -2 in reverse order.
