Computer memory is used for temporary storage and calculations. Your laptop's speed is partly determined by the amount of RAM it has. Replace or add more RAM to give your laptop an extra boost in speed.
Remove all all twelve 6 mm long screws on the back of the laptop using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
Gently pull off the back cover of the laptop. It should come off easily.
The RAM should be located at the indicated area inside the laptop.
Release the clamps securing the RAM by pushing each clamp away from the RAM.
Gently unplug the RAM from its port.
You can replace up to two RAM sticks for this laptop. Just repeat steps 6 through 8 for the second RAM port.
Pay attention to the arrangement of the pins on the RAM. When replacing the RAM, make sure the pins line up with the pins on the RAM port.
