If your Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 4th Gen (20FB002LUS) is having trouble connecting to the internet, use this guide to figure out how to restore your internet connection.
Wireless LAN cards are the main reason why you are able to connect to the internet. This small card is attached to antennas that span through the laptop and pick up signal in a “Local Area Network” (LAN).
If you drop your laptop or it has been shaken around too much, there is a possibility that the antennas attached to the LAN card have been disconnected, preventing wireless connection.
It is recommended that before you try this guide, look at the “Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 4th Gen Troubleshooting Page,” which details how to fix the internet connection through software means before moving onto a hardware fix.
Before starting this guide, make sure to fully power off the laptop, and remove any external sources of power.
