Set the clock face down.

Take out the dead battery from the back of the Ikea PLUTTIS clock.

Get the new battery that you want to use to replace the dead battery.
Use an AA type battery.

To place the battery properly locate the positive and negative indicators on your clock.

Using your fingers, insert the negative side of the battery into the back of the clock and push it in.
Avoid pushing too hard, it could potentially break the spring holding the battery.

Push down on the positive side of the battery into the clock.
If you hear a clicking noise when pushing down on the battery. it means the battery has successfully been placed in.
