How to fix a shirt pocket that is just not sitting right?

Do you have a pocket that is just not sitting right? It's flimsy and opens up? A long time ago, my grandma showed me this easy trick!

Note: Please wear a thimble on whatever finger you need to protect.

    • Select an appropriate sewing thread, depending on the fabric: try to match the color and the thickness.

    • Thread the tin metal wire part of the needle threader through the needle.

    • Tread the sewing thread through the needle threader, and pull the needle threader.

    • Try to have small and uniform stitches as possible.

    • Try not to catch the front side of the pocket fabric.

    • Pull the thread so that it tightens. Make sure you do not create any creases on the fabric.

    • At the end of the sewing thread, create a knot and cut the excess thread.

    • And Voila! - Your pocket is now fixed! Also after ironing, it will look much better.
