How to Restore a Burnt Wok

はじめに

As the wok is more and more used, debris and brunt food parts start to stick unto the wok. As it starts to build up, it may damage the wok and cause it to become unusable. Having this guide allows the wok to have a longer lifespan. Additionally, rust may leave an unpleasant metallic taste to foods cooked on it.

In this step by step guide, we will restore the wok in order to use as it was brand new.

    • Fill the wok halfway with water.

    • Heat the wok until the water boils.

    • Watch the water so that it doesn't boil over.

    • Turn off the heat.

    • Sprinkle about 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda onto the wok.
