This is a technique guide on how to repair a synthetic wig's quality (dry, tangled, knotted). This guide is perfect for keeping your favorite wig for everyday use or special events, such as Halloween, in great condition for months to years longer than a wig with little to no care.
This process is better suited for straight, wavy, and/or loose curl synthetic wigs.
In order to keep your synthetic wig in good quality, this process must be repeated every 2-3 weeks.
To make sure your wig is fully moisturized, add shampoo before and after putting the synthetic wig in the container.
Apply the hair shampoo of your choice into the container.
If using a bottle with a pump, apply 5-7 pumps of shampoo to the water. If using a squeeze bottle, count to 5 seconds while pouring shampoo into the water.

Mix shampoo into the water to clean and moisturize the wig thoroughly.
Leave the synthetic wig in the container for 15-20 minutes. The longer you leave it in, the softer your wig will be.
Using pins can keep the wig secure through the drying process.
Leave wig on the mannequin head to dry for one day.
For immediate use of wig, dry with hair dryer on medium to low heat.
For straight hair synthetic wigs: dry it normally.
For synthetic wigs with wavy to loose curls: the curl pattern should return after drying. For more security, add curlers to the hair, following the curl pattern, while drying.
After the drying process, your synthetic wig should look good as new!
For maximum shine and hold, add hair spray after drying.
For straight synthetic wigs: if you are experiencing any small hairs that are sticking out after the drying process, use a flat iron on medium to high heat.
For wavy or loose curl synthetic wigs: if you are experiencing any small hairs that are sticking out after the drying process, use a curling iron (or flat iron) on medium to high heat and follow the curl pattern of the wig.
