First, check fuses and see if any are out. At times other fuses and issues trip more issues.

If all good, check circuit breakers located under dash on drivers side.

Circuit breakers labeled: (Power) 30A and (Automatic Shoulder Belt) 30A may be tripped. This is a simple fix. Just by sticking a toothpick or needle in hole located on circuit breaker (see 2nd photo). If it clicks, it may have been tripped and you journey may end here, if not then continue.

If you were like me, it was not as simple as a fuse or breaker. You may need to check your wires coming from the switches on the door, specifically in the door jam.

Due to age and wear, you may have a tear (mix-tape dropping soon). OR like mine, many torn wires.

Here you need to remove the rubber cover and may need to push wires through kick panel to work on/check wires.

As shown, wires break and simply reconnecting them will restore your windows, seat belt, and/or lock issues.

Make sure to reconnect and reassemble everything. Hope this guide helped!

Great to see it first hand. I’m thinking about not risking it and going with a service for my seat belt repair like this one https://www.safetyrestore.com/seat-belt-... .. its much more affordable than a dealership.. any experience with mail in services like this?
David Melnichuk: It appears that that service is in MA, and of course can deal with an issue if you have a part that you can send to them. I am in Seattle, and it’s a seat belt fold-over issue repeatedly interfering with good operation. safetyrestore doesn’t have nationwide branches, does it?

It does click - so what next - is it now ok?

The relay will click as often as I prod it.bThe relay next to it is solid. So which is OK ?

Well ! Opened the relay and found that it consists of a metal strip connecting two contacts. Plainly when there an over current the strip bends and slips past a retaimg pin. A coil spring under the plastic spring-carrier moves the spring away from the contacts.
I reset the unit and replced the metal (clip-on), cover. I recon l'll replace the rear red fog bulb with a lower Wattage - the relay in my case protects that circuit.
Man ! do I wish I still had one of my cars from the sixties which had non of the modern nonsense.
