Remove the doll's head by loosening the neck strings.
To loosen the neck strings, turn the doll's head from left to right occasionally pulling the head until you are able to fully pull its head away from the body of the doll.
Make sure to remove any fiber fill inside the doll, if it contains the material.

Put on disposable gloves.
Hold the doll head by the hair so the opening of the head is easily accessible.
Pour boiling water into the head and wait for 5 minutes.
Pour the hot water out of the doll head.

Insert your finger into the doll's head and gently push the eye out from the inside.
A dowel rod can also be used but you must be gentle.
Careful as the doll's head is very hot!

Separate the eyes into the individual parts.
Place the parts onto a towel to cool.

Rinse the pieces with water and dry them with a towel.
Put the eyes back together.
