This guide details how to open the Eton FRX5-BT case, to preform repair tasks on its internals.

Press on the left most side on the small plastic cap on the back of the radio (it is loosely glued in place).

When the plastic cap comes loose, remove it completely to access the lock mechanism below.

Slide the lock mechanism all the way to the left. Now the solar panel is no longer locked in place.

Remove the solar panel, by lifting it on the top part. You can use a suction cup or carefully tilt the device when it's in an upright position.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
