    I would love to repair my RVL-003 controller but my battery pack has a different battery item #87048-E-14 top half of battery case is blue bottom half molded to back cover of controller is white have you ever changed out this type without destroying it? Can the battery case be split and change out batteries?

Wow, that explains it. So many complaints about the energizer inductive batteries dying quickly. They take a product meant for two AA and replace it with two AAA's. Yep, that'll limit your playing time...
