Dell Latitude 3500 System Fan Replacement

You may want to remove the system fan because it has failed, or just for a cleaning.

    • 10 screws hold the bottom cover in place -- these stay in the bottom cover.

    • Using a spudger will make quick work of this step.

    • Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.

    • Remove the 4 screws holding it in place

    • Battery can now be removed from device.

    • Unplug the fan header

    • Unplug the VGA board cable

    • Unplug the LCD cable

    • Once these 2 screws are removed the fan will lift out as long as the cables are out of the way.
