Be sure to power off the laptop and remove the battery before proceeding with the disassembly.
Flip the laptop over and locate the battery compartment on the bottom .

Slide both locks away from the center of the battery.
The battery can then be removed after hearing a click.
To reinstall the battery, slide the battery back in place until you hear a click.
