Canon PowerShot SX600 HS camera, can have a broken or damaged Power and Shutter Button. Problems with the Power and Shutter Button may prevent the camera from turning on or functioning properly. Use this guide when replacing the Power and Shutter Button.

To remove the battery, locate the battery cover on the bottom of the camera.

Using your thumb, press down on the cover and slide it outwards.

Use a #000 Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four 4mm screws located on the sides of the camera (2 for each side).

Hello Evelyn,
you can buy it in the ifixit store. Otherwise you can use a plastic card you don’t need any more (it will be scratched and or bend afterwards, so you probably better don take a creditcard).
