    Thanks, Tom! I first put the battery in the way the photo displayed, and then set the date. When I turned the camera off, then on again, I got the message the date and time needed to be set. Changing to your way solved my problem! Thanks so much!!

Love the canon camera I have this one, but it drains batteries when taking pictures? I have to bring a 8 pack of batteries it’s crazy!
