The Infiniti Q70 and Q70L were the brand's flagship sedans, originally known as the M series (M37 and M56) before Infiniti's rebranding in 2014
Both models offered two, naturally aspirated engines:
3.7L V6: Produces 330 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.
5.6L V8: Produces 416–420 hp and 414–417 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission: A 7-speed automatic with "Downshift Rev Matching" was standard across the board.
Drivetrain: Rear-wheel drive (RWD) was standard, with "Intelligent All-Wheel Drive" (AWD) available for both engine types.
The "L" Difference (Long Wheelbase)
The Q70L’s primary purpose was to provide a "limousine" experience for rear passengers. The Q70L is 7.1 inches longer overall than the standard Q70. The Q70L included extra amenities like rear reading lights, a 12V power outlet in the back, and unique "auto-closing" rear doors.
Key Features & Technology
Infotainment: Both use the Infiniti InTouch system with an 8-inch touchscreen. While functional, it was criticized for lacking Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Audio: A 10-speaker Bose system was standard, but many models came with the 16-speaker Bose Studio Surround system.
Safety Tech: They featured a "Safety Shield" suite, including an Around View Monitor (360-degree camera), Blind Spot Intervention, and Predictive Forward Collision Warning, which can "see" two cars ahead to anticipate braking.
