Dash indicator comes on with T/C and Traction Control light
Hi we have a 2022 Equinox LT AWD. After driving a few hours and then slowing down to pull into our garage for example, the car feels like it is goesa into all wheel drive all the sudden and it is hard to accelerate to get it to move forward.
The dashboard shows a T/C and squiggly lines. Also the lights all go out on the shifter. We have verified that we have not accidently pushed the All Wheel Drive button ..
Any help or suggestions are greatlt appreciated..
Traction control is part of the antilock brake system. You might discover error codes related to the abs/tc problem cycling the abs/tc indicator from Autozone or other auto parts store providing free readings of error codes. Older generic readers cannot decode manufacturer specific error codes like abs/tc/esc, xmission, factory anti theft, etc. Autozone can decode emissions (P type) and abs (C type) error codes.
Be sure main power (battery, battery cables, their connections, drive belt and alternator) are all in good working order against possible interruptions in power that can wreak havoc on electronics when voltages drop below 10 volts.
