it can be many things. What have u tried? Assuming it is the correct battery, and assuming it is a new battery, and assuming u bought it because your old battery was doing the same thing then the issue likely is in the motor. If you put an ohmmeter on the motor battery terminals and turn it on to start it, you should get a low resistance. If not, there is an internal connection issue. Could be the start switch, wiring or motor. You will need to take it apart and follow the wiring to test each part.

Did you try measuring the four prongs for voltage? Using the side box tab to open a new page, images show the bottom prongs with markings on the case. Positive on the right and negative on the left. Labeling shows 10.8vdc.
And does your B&S use an auxiliary backup pull start?
