@gurvirgill since your car also slows down, this sounds like the yellow flashing light is your "transaxle warning light". You car enters limp mode since it gets a signal that there are issues with the transmission control system. It does that to protect the transaxle form any further damage. You will need to get your Swift's OBDII scanned to see what error code you receive.
