So I took a part an iPod Touch 4th gen and miss-placed the white rubber part (located in the top left corner) where the Wifi Flex cable is located.
Is this part required still for a functional iPod touch? I do still have the Wifi Flex cable. Just wanted to make sure with the community before giving it back to my friend. Thank you.

I took one of these apart yesterday and found no white rubber as such but did slice through the bit of foam underneath it. It shouldn't case any problems at all, the rubber would be there to support it nicely to the iPod to make sure it is in position. If you want to, try cutting an elastic band into shape and putting it in, maybe even some clay - but, it is up to you whether or not you have stuck the front panel on again.
