1980r100 came in pieces.
I need a guide on how to put it back together.
@jasonfishe49298 besides all the great suggestion provided by my colleague F Dryer above, here are a couple of manuals that we can offer. Those are not the greatest scans since the 80's are quite the distance past when it comes to manuals. Looks like the bike is in the same line as the 1980-1984 model some even list it form 1979-1984. This BMW 1983 K100,K100RS,K100RT,R80GS,R80ST,R80RT,R45,R65LS,R60 7,R100RS,R60 6,R100RS,R60 7,R90S,R50 5,R and the 1982 WorkshopManual BMW R60 7,R75 7,R80 7,R100 7,R100T,R100,R100S,R100CS,R100RT,R100RS should help you to get started, since we do not know how much of a basket case you've got there. Here is the parts manual for that series. It is in 3 parts since it was to large for iFixit 1980 BMW R50 5 R100RT Parts Manual Part11980 BMW R50 5 R100RT Parts Manual Part21980 BMW R50 5 R100RT Parts Manual Part3

If you're lucky, you might be able to go online to BMW to; determine if a free service manual is available for downloading and if BMW can provide support. Next would be searching beemer forums and join there for shared info. And then there may be YouTube videos. Beemer motorcycle forums may be the best sources of free info.
