Spilt coke causing keys to become sticky

I accidentally spilt coke on the left side of my brand new macbook airs keyboard. Everything is fine but three or four keys on the keyboard where the coke spilt are sticking when i press them down. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You could try something like Goof Off or Goo Gone on a cotton swab, but that's not going to get inside the upper case very well. Consider yourself lucky that you still have a functioning computer; I killed my old Dell with a glass of lemonade.

i can lift the keys up but there isn't enough space to get a cotton swab under the key to clean it. Do you know how i can take the keys off, i've looked all over the internet but cant seem to find anything for this model of macbook air.

I addressed the same issue with a 13.3" 2012 MBA... and because I am cheap, I opted to pull and clean rather than replace (the keyboard/backlight). Soaked it in 90% isopropyl and cleaned in my ultrasonic cleaner with solution (not necessary in my opinion, but there are a lot of tight grooves and spaces in the keyboard). Let them dry off for a week, put it back, and it works great.

Judging from the teardown of the 2012 macbook air (MBA), the schematics seem to be the same for the 2011 model. So if you wanted you could theoretically use guides for the 2011 model on your new 2012 MBA. You should double check just to make sure.
