Hi everyone,
I am preparing to repair my pixel 7 pro.
What is this foil piece and how should I install it?
There are two different sides that probably need to be installed in a specific way.
Why has this nowhere been mentioned?

That's the graphite foil that goes over the battery, motherboard and camera covers. If you're doing nothing but replacing the screen you shouldn't need it since there's no reason to take it off just to unplug the display. Check Step 20 of the Battery Replacement guide for information on it.

You can clearly see it in this picture from the Screen Replacement guide; as you can tell, it's untouched for a screen replacement.
I'd hold onto it for now; it would come in handy one day when the battery needs replacing.

I would have suggested this to come with a replacement battery rather than a screen. ;D
