I was filming with my camcorder and everything looked normal at first, but after a few minutes the video started showing became distorted with rainbow colors and it hasn’t gone back to normal since. How can I fix this?

CCD failure, it's dead. You can't swap sensors as they're on the board, especially that model - that was the "post CVS" model where they put a consumer friendly interface on that didn't require a hacked up Palm Pilot cable, or 3rd party extraction tools which were nonstandard.
