Michael Dell would say no, Of course he's been wrong about Apple before and I quote, "What would I do? I'd shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders," Michael Dell said before a crowd of several thousand IT executives.

Dell's comments follow Steve Jobs's keynote address at the Seybold trade show last week in San Francisco, where the Apple cofounder seemed to win over attendees with his explanation of why he had made certain key decisions, killing the clone market and aligning more closely with Microsoft. 1997

Standard RAM: 8 GB Maximum RAM: 16 GB*

Details: 4 GB of RAM is installed as two 2 GB modules, no slots free.

*Apple officially supports a maximum of 8 GB of RAM, but third-parties have determined that this model actually is capable of using up to 16 GB of RAM with two 8 GB memory modules.

Yes you can. OWC just posted ram upgrades for these models (non-retina). I purchased 16GB and I can't wait for it to get here. Don't buy ram from Apple unless you're rich. OWC has reasonable prices and they test the machines and certify that these ram increases should work without a flaw. Taking the Mac Book Pro is very simple and it will only take you around 10 minutes; in addition they have DIY videos. Just follow the 2011 MacBook pro video instructions, since the 2012 construction is basically the same.

Best regards,

Jose
