I've got a late 2008 A1278 macbook 13" which needs a new back cover/lid - can't find many macbook 13" lids, but plenty of Macbook Pro lids. Are they interchangeable ?
As far as I'm aware Apple just added "macbook pro" to the glass, correct ?

Hi, a1278 is 13" a1286 is 15"
You probably have a1278 2008 model before they made them MacBook Pro. Good news is that they are interchangeable but the sleep magnet for the MacBook pros is on the right side whereas the MacBooks is on the left side. If you swap it over then it'll be good.

I do not believe so. I know they are both aluminum however, there will most likely be different connected on the back case for the lcd/led screen.
