My old 3ds turns black after opening apps

When i try to open a app only appears a black screen. I can navigate in the home menu, but selecting the apps dont work. Also tried to open the câmera but it froze on the home menu. Do you guys have any idea how to solve it?

Hi! Is the 3DS up to date? Is it modded? Did you tried to enter safe mode and update from there?

Thank you Koppie for trying to help. I received my screw drivers and opened up. No water problems. Disconnected off and on some ribbons and it worked. Some screw drivers were very tight. Maybe it was the problem. Thank you a lot guys.

Ah glad that it works now! Most likely a ribbon cable wasn't seated properly!
