Very strange display distortion. What is it?

I got here a very strange symptom:

Additionally to this kinda "foggy effect" it also looks like the picture would be both "over exposed" and 256 colors only. The reacts very slow, as the mouse cursor had a "tail". The windows fading and appearing in slow motion. Everything occurs in both wxga and framebuffer (during the boot). I had no problem before the first occurrence and since it's constant. There is also no problem while connectig to an external display (dvi and hdmi). What I read the inverter would cause failing out backlight. So what do you think is it the display panel or more worse the logic board?
