How to replace the broken glass of SK17i?

Hello!!

Accidentally I dropped my mobile(SK17i----black) on the floor and as a result the glass got broken.But the touch is working good still.

I could not feel the cracks present in the glass.Is anyother thing thats present inside has been broken??

Confused??

Wen i contacted sony customer center they charged me around $120.But it is too high.They are telling that the touch digitizer should be changed along with the display.

I am clear on one thing that i won't be paying that much for my phone.Is dey correct.I am very much confused.Pls help me to sort out this......

Now I have a same problem. coustomercare offring me 20% discount on new handset but it is not good enough. tell me what u did.

Vijay Kalish, the touch is still working because you did not break the digitizer circuit. Here is the teardown for your phone, It will not tell you specifically how to change your display, but it will most certainly show you what to do. Besides checking on ebay.com for the complete display, you can also check on here. Cost is around $30 for the complete display. Do not try to purchase things separate. It is next to impossible to separate the digitizer from the LCD. Hope this helps, good luck.

you hv done a great favour for me...so you infer dat i should change my whole upper slide rite!!but the set costs around 25$ in ebay.com
