Replaced screen, but shuts off when plugged in. Any ideas why?

Replaced the screen for an iPhone 14. Was easy enough. However when she plugs in the phone to charge, it restarts. The battery dies a lot faster as well. What could be the issue? Tried a hard restart and now we are here. Asking for advice
