Hello,
The ZIF connector connecting that cable on the battery got pulled off when trying to disconnect it. Is it able to be soldered back, and would I need to solder both the two little parts on top, and 6 little parts at the bottom of the connector? Any advice?

@zoom68974 that is correct, the connector requires soldering. the two parts on the top are anchors (as well as ground) for the connector. The "6 little parts at the bottom" are the actual contacts. You need to make sure that you still have the solder pads on the logic board, otherwise you will need to run some jumpers. six contacts.
If you have never solder on a logic board, this may not be a good board to practice on. You will need some decent skills as well as some decent soldering tools. Don't use hot air since you will melt the connector.

Ok thank you so much! It seems like all pads are on the board (on the picture in the red box), but please let me know if anything looks off. This is the connector directly on top of the battery, I'm not sure if that affects anything I should be cautious of. Sorry I am not as familiar with everything, I plan to practice on something else first.
To confirm, do I need to solder all 6 contacts individually, or is the proximity of the contacts to the pads enough for it to work if I just solder the anchors?
@zoom68974 if that is a picture from your board, then yes, the solder pads look good. You will need to solder all of the contacts including the anchors. Start with those then solder the rest. Whenever I solder some connectors and they move to much while trying to solder, I use a dab of glue (not "crazy glue") on the bottom of the connector, to keep it in place.
@oldturkey03 Okay thank you so much for the help! Yes, those are pictures of my board and connector. The connector plastic seems to look chipped on the right side, I assume that's not as important as the actual contacts, but please let me know if it is anything to look closely at it.
@zoom68974 as long as the male connector still slides in, it should be okay. If there is any doubt you could always try and find a replacement.
