Hello there, I received this Xbox for a repair. I tried swapping the PSU, as well as using another front panel power switch and it still didn't turn on. I believe the issue to be a capacitor problem, but don't see any issue to my eyes after looking at several threads, and images of units with the same issue. I'm not certain what board revision this is, but think it is 1.6

You have a visibly damaged cap I marked in red, might or might not be an issue. This is a 1.6 board. If it were me I'd just do a standard re-cap. If you have an esr meter...you can test the caps. But these consoles are so old....re-capping them at this point is pretty standard practice even if only as a part of "preventative" maintenance.

To add: In the other photo's the cap do look fine. Those are the "newer" revision caps which are not likely to fail. But, in the photo you marked it as red, it does look a little damaged. I know that some 1.6 power supply's are likely to fail and need a replacement. You do need the correct PSU model, some other models may fit, but still won't turn on the Xbox, if the incorrect model has been used.
@dan0 Indeed, Delta and Tuscany. Though earlier revision consoles also had Delta branded psu's ... you can not use a non 1.6 psu with a 1.6 console. However as long as the psu is from a 1.6 it doesn't not matter whether it's a Delta or Tuscany. I have a dead Tuscany on my to do shelf. I swapped it out with a known working Delta to get the customer back into the game asap.
True! It must be a PSU from the 1.6 revisions, as long this is the case it should work with both PSU brands :)!
