How do I fix not being able to hear out of one ear?
Hi Audra,
First step is to figure out what the problem is. Assuming you're connected by a cord, you'll want to eliminate that as the source of the problem first, either by trying the cord on a different device, or using a different cord. If that doesn't help, then it is most likely a problem internal to the headphones.
In most headphones the circuit boards and controls are on one side and a pair of wires runs through the headband to the speaker on the opposite side. That would be my first suspicion, especially if the side that doesn't work is opposite where the input plugs in. Any time you have wires that are in a position to be bent constantly, there's the possibility they will eventually break, and with the foldable Solo headphones that seems like almost a guarantee.
Here's a video showing a pair of your headphones being repaired due to exactly that scenario; a broken wire on the right side where the wire gets flexed constantly. He shows how to take it apart to get to the wire, but be aware that fixing it will require some soldering so hopefully that's something that you can do.
